A man has sustained crush injuries after the trench he was working in collapsed onto him pinning him from his knees down on Sunday afternoon.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived to find the mans co-workers and members of Public trying to dig the Man out. The Durban Fire Department arrived shortly afterwards.
The man sustained crush injuries to his lower legs and was stabilised by Advanced Life Support Paramedics. Once freed the man was transported to a nearby Hospital for the further care that he required.
SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
