Western Cape: At 17H10 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collapse on Sandown Road E in Blouberg, Cape Town.
Reports from the scene indicate that a trench at a construction site had collapsed trapping three workers.
An attempt to rescue the men was conducted by Metro Rescue and Metro Ambulance. Sadly the patients, all adult males, were declared deceased on the scene by emergency services.
Circumstances leading up to the trench collapse will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
