Two men aged 51 & 25 were injured after the roof they were repairing collapsed at their home on Hilltop Drive in Tea Estate, Inanda this afternoon (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the residence at approximately 16:52. On arrival, it was established that the father and son were conducting the repairs after the roof was damaged by heavy winds. A wooden beam broke causing part of the structure to collapse. The two fell to the ground and suffered fractures to their legs.
They were treated on scene by Medics from the Provincial Ambulance Service before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
