A construction worker was severely assaulted by two men during a robbery in Belvedere, Tongaat last night (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 21:04. On arrival, it was established that two men had held up a construction worker living on the property. The victim was found in the yard bleeding excessively from an open wound to his head.
He informed Reaction Officers that he was robbed of an R1000 in cash and his cellphone during the attack. The robbers then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was treated on scene by Medics.
Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspects however no arrests were made.
