One person was hospitalised following a collision between a municipal Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) and a blue Toyota Avanza on Neptune Drive in Riet River – KwaZulu-Natal today (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 13:36 and discovered the TLB lying on its side. According to the driver, he was travelling downhill when his brakes failed. He collided with the light motor vehicle before the TLB overturned. He sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The occupants of the Toyota Avanza were not injured.
