This afternoon KwaZulu-Natal Private Ambulance Service responded to Margate town for reports of a person stuck in a collapsed trench.
When emergency services arrived they found that a patient had sustained serious injuries when a trench he was working in collapsed.
Together with Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue services, EMRS Rescue and Netcare 911 specialized rescue services, Paramedics stabilized the patient and worked for 2 hours to free the patient.
The patient was transported to the hospital for further treatment and stabilization.
