This morning, four men were injured when a scaffolding platform collapsed at an office park in Westlake, Western Cape.
ER24, Metro Rescue and other services arrived on the scene shortly after 09h00, finding four men lying near a pile of collapsed scaffolding. Several men had already moved the patients away to a safe area.
Medics assessed the men and found that one man was in a serious condition while the others had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The men were treated, and the seriously injured man was provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Mediclinic Constantiaberg and Life Vincent Palotti Hospital for further care.
The relevant authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
