The Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure has responded to a community service delivery outcry today about the state of Road D4090 at Seleteng Ga-Mphahlele outside Lebowakgomo in Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality. This follows a stakeholder engagement meeting between MEC Ernest Rachoene and representatives of Moshate and other community stakeholders.
The MEC just launched Stakeholders Tuesdays, aimed at encouraging engagement with communities on service delivery-related issues. Today, the road workers took to D4090 Road, which links the community of Seleteng and surrounding villages. Blading, bush clearing, and cleaning of existing pipes within the adjacent villages have also been taking place.
The road also provides health care services through the local clinic.
MEC Rachoene appreciates the employees for taking their time on a Saturday to work through the Dikgerekgere Wednesday service delivery initiative.
