KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to a major collision on the N3 near the Chatterton offramp this morning.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services discovered that two trucks and a bakkie had been involved in a collision.
Nine patients sustained serious injuries, with one patient trapped inside a truck.
Paramedics are currently working diligently to stabilize the injured patients and, with the assistance of Fire and Rescue Services, are utilizing specialized rescue equipment to extricate the trapped individual.
Once stabilized, all patients will be transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
