Minor injuries were reported after a cement mixer overturned on the M4 between Umdloti and Umhlanga – KwaZulu-Natal this morning (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 07:24. On arrival, Reaction discovered a Mercedes Benz cement mixer lying on its side.
The driver informed Reaction Officers that he swerved to avoid a vehicle that suddenly braked in front of him. He lost control of the truck which resulted in the accident. No other vehicles were involved or damaged in the accident.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported privately to a medical facility.
