A man’s arm was ripped off at his shoulder and his body became entrapped in a block-making machine in Redcliffe, KwaZulu-Natal yesterday afternoon (Monday 14:00).
Paramedics & Rescue Technicians from Netcare 911, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) & the Ethekweni Fire Department freed the man after approximately ninety (90) minutes.
Reaction Officers interviewed his colleagues who said they noticed the man removing a stone from the conveyor belt. His arm was instantly ripped off & he became entrapped under the rollers.
The injured man was expedited to hospital in a critical condition.
