Water Disruptions in the Southern and Western areas of Bloemfontein

The DA Mangaung is aware of the numerous reports of water disruptions affecting southern and western Bloemfontein, including Pellissier, Universitas, Lourierpark, Groenvlei, Dewetsdorp, wepener and Langenhovenpark. According to the municipality, these interruptions are due to high turbidity in the water following heavy rains in the catchment areas.

Additionally, decades of neglect and lack of maintenance in the water system mean that even minor issues now result in widespread disruptions.

We will continue to engage with the municipality to ensure accountability and push for long-term solutions to our city’s ongoing water challenges.
