A Woman and a child were killed following a wall collapse in Slangspruit

A woman believed to be 28-years-old and a young boy believed to be 5-years-old, sustained fatal injuries following a wall collapse in a house in Slangspruit, Pietermaritzburg this morning.

ER24 was called to the scene by the SAPS Search and Rescue team, and upon arrival shortly after 08H30, they found the woman and the boy lying on a bed. Pieces of the wall were found lying around them.

Unfortunately, both had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
