Rescue Care Paramedics were called to a fire in premises on Maydon Road in the Bayhead area of Durban just after 07:30 am this morning.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the Durban Fire Department in attendance trying to fight the blaze. Multiple Fire tenders were on scene and more arrived including high rise units to assist. One patient was assessed for minor injuries however refused further treatment. No other injuries were reported. The road was closed whilst emergency personal worked on the scene.
At this stage, the events leading up to the fire is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
